What is an Exness Islamic Account?

An Exness Islamic account is a swap-free trading account that removes overnight interest charges (swaps) from all positions. Under Islamic finance principles, charging or receiving interest (riba) is prohibited. Conventional forex accounts accrue swap fees when positions are held overnight — the Islamic account eliminates this entirely.

What makes Exness different from most brokers: there is no administration fee charged after a holding period to compensate for the removed swap. Many brokers offer "Islamic accounts" but quietly add a flat admin fee after 3–7 days on open positions — functionally replacing the swap with a different charge. Exness does not do this.

Which Account Types Support Islamic Mode?

Account Type Islamic Available Min Deposit Commission
Standard✓ Yes$10No commission
Standard Plus✓ Yes$2,000No commission
Pro✓ Yes$200No commission
Raw Spread✓ Yes$200$3.50/lot per side
Zero✓ Yes$200$3.50–$7/lot
Cent✓ Yes$10No commission

For most Muslim traders new to forex, the Standard account with Islamic mode is the practical entry point: $10 minimum deposit, no commission, no swap. Experienced traders who scalp or trade high volume often prefer Raw Spread Islamic for tighter spreads despite the per-lot commission.

How to Enable Islamic Account on Exness

  1. Log in to your Exness Personal Area at exness.com
  2. Go to My Accounts
  3. Click on the account you want to make Islamic
  4. Open Account Settings (gear icon)
  5. Find Islamic Account toggle and enable it
  6. Confirm — takes effect immediately on new positions

The change applies only to new positions opened after activation. Existing open positions with accumulated swaps are not retroactively adjusted. Close open positions first if you have existing swap exposure.

Which Instruments Are Swap-Free?

Instrument Islamic / Swap-Free Notes
Forex pairs (all)✓ Swap-freeMajors, minors, exotics
Gold (XAU/USD)✓ Swap-freeMost traded commodity on Exness
Silver (XAG/USD)✓ Swap-free
Crude oil (WTI, Brent)✓ Swap-free

Gold (XAU/USD) is the most important instrument for GCC and South Asian traders using Islamic accounts. Exness applies swap-free status to gold positions — meaning you can hold gold positions overnight, for days or weeks, without any swap charges or admin fees.

Exness vs Other Brokers — Islamic Account Comparison

Broker Swap-Free Admin Fee After X Days All Account Types
Exness ✓ Yes No admin fees ✓ All types
XM ✓ Yes Admin fee after 7 days Most types
IC Markets ✓ Yes Admin fee after 3 days Standard only
Pepperstone ✓ Yes Admin fee applies Selected types
FP Markets ✓ Yes Admin fee after 5 days Selected types

The admin fee trap is common. A broker advertises "Islamic account — no swap" but then charges $5–15 per lot per day as an "administration fee" after a grace period. For swing traders holding positions for a week or more, this adds up to roughly the same cost as a swap. Exness genuinely does not do this.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Exness Islamic account truly halal?
Exness Islamic accounts remove overnight swap fees with no replacement admin fee. This addresses the riba (interest) concern. Scholars differ on whether CFD trading itself is permissible — the account structure removes the swap component. For guidance on the broader question of forex permissibility, see our Is Forex Trading Halal guide.
Does Exness charge admin fees on the Islamic account?
No. This is the key difference from most brokers. Exness does not charge administration fees as a hidden swap replacement after a grace period. The account is genuinely swap-free with no additional charges for holding positions long-term.
Can I trade gold with an Exness Islamic account?
Yes. Gold (XAU/USD) is swap-free on Exness Islamic accounts. This is important for traders in GCC, Pakistan, and Malaysia where gold trading is common. You can hold XAU/USD positions for days or weeks with no swap or admin fee.
Is there a separate Islamic account, or is it a toggle?
It is a toggle on your existing account. You do not need to open a new account. Go to Personal Area → My Accounts → Account Settings → enable Islamic Account. It applies immediately. You can have some accounts Islamic and others not, across multiple accounts in the same PA.
Does Islamic mode affect spreads or commissions?
No. Spreads and commissions remain identical to the standard version of the same account type. Islamic mode only removes the swap — everything else stays the same. A Raw Spread Islamic account has the same tight spreads and $3.50/lot commission as a standard Raw Spread account.
Can I switch back from Islamic to standard account?
Yes. The Islamic toggle can be disabled the same way it was enabled in Account Settings. Swaps resume on new positions after deactivation. Existing open positions maintain whatever conditions applied when they were opened.
Is Exness Islamic account available in Malaysia?
Yes. Exness is very popular in Malaysia and the Islamic account is fully available. Most Malaysian Exness clients use Standard Islamic accounts. Exness is regulated under multiple jurisdictions and accepts Malaysian clients under FSA (Seychelles) or CBCS regulation.
Is Exness Islamic account available in Pakistan?
Yes. Exness accepts Pakistani clients and the Islamic account is available. PKR deposits are supported through local payment methods. The Standard Islamic account at $10 minimum is the most common entry point for Pakistani traders.
